Chile`s CAP Acero revamps converters
The CAP (Compañía Siderúrgica Huachipato) group's steelmaking arm, CAP Acero has begun to upgrade its two steel converters, Kallanish learns from a note issued by the Chilean company.
CAP Acero awarded the supply of the convertors to local company Vapor Industrial, signifying the first time that this type of equipment has been made in Chile. The steelmaker’s investment amounts to $ 8 million.
