Chile’s AZA to expand scrap collection activity
Chilean long steel producer AZA Acero Sostenible expects to increase its scrap collecting activity in 2021, the company told local reporters. AZA is a former operation of Brazilian steelmaker Gerdau.
The $19 million investment plan includes improving scrap processing at the Colina plant by commissioning a new shredder and material separator. It also contemplates expanding the stocking area in Santiago.
