Chile posts strong steel consumption in 2021
Chilean steel consumption grew almost 38.7% year-on-year to 3.28 million tonnes in 2021, says national steel institute ICHA. Demand for long products represented 1.51mt, up 23.3% over 2020. Meanwhile, flats consumption was 56.3% more at 1.74mt.
