Chile mulls further trade action on steel imports
The Chilean government is currently evaluating the possibility of implementing a series of anti-dumping measures on imports of nails and wire mesh, Kallanish learns from local union sources.
The investigation follows a complaint, submitted by local wire mesh producer Inchalam. The company has requested the imposition of a 23.8% tariff on nail imports and a 15.6% duty on steel mesh products, sources reveal.
