Chiji Steel launches third new blast furnace
Guangxi Chiji Iron & Steel, located in Wuzhou, has started operation of the No.1 blast furnace at its Wuzhou base, Kallanish notes.
This one is the third identical BF ignited by the company this year, and also is the last one of its capacity replacement plan that was announced in March 2022. The three 2,060 cubic metre-BFs have a combined hot metal capacity of 5.253 million tonnes/year.
