Chifeng Zhongtang starts construction
Chifeng Zhongtang in Inner Mongolia has started construction of its special steel project, Kallanish notes from local media.
The total investment in this project is CNY 16.48 billion ($2.41 billion). The steelmaker plans to build a special steel production base involving 2.85 million tonnes/year of ironmaking capacity and 2.7m t/y steelmaking capacity. It will also add 3m t/y of coking capacity.
