Chew Bros takes over Lysaght Galvanized
Malaysia’s Lysaght Galvanized Steel Bhd has a new owner after Chew Bros (M) Sdn Bhd succeeded in building a 51.63% stake in the firm.
Lysaght Galvanized was previously 55.14% owned by Lysaght (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. The company produces galvanised sheets for construction, including the Lysaght brand of Australia’s BlueScope, which controls Lysaght (Malaysia). BlueScope did not respond to requests for comment by the Kallanish press deadline.
