Chengdu Metallurgy to start upgrade
The Department of Ecology and Environment of Sichuan Province has approved the upgrade project of Chengdu Metallurgical Experimental Plant. The company plans to build two steelmaking production lines and two bar mills in Dayi Industrial Function District.
After commissioning by the end of 2020, the whole plant will have 2 million tonnes/year of crude steel capacity and 1.9m t/y of rolled products, Kallanish notes.
