ChelPipe ships concrete-coated pipe for Nord Stream-2
Chelyabinsk Pipe-Rolling Plant (ChelPipe) has shipped the first, 1,980-tonne batch of large-diameter concrete coated steel pipe for the construction of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline, Kallanish learns from the Russian pipemaker.
The pipe has a 1,153mm diameter and wall thickness of 30.9mm. The concrete coating is applied by Russia’s Pipeline Coating and Technologies, Concpipe. The cargo will be delivered this month by rail to Hanko, Finland, and then transferr…
