Changling Steel to relocate electric arc furnace
Southwest China’s Zunyi Changling Special Steel intends to relocate its 110-tonne electric arc furnace to a new plant in the Honghuagang District of Zunyi, due for completion in December 2023, Kallanish notes.
Pre-treatment facilities and a 130t refining furnace will be relocated simultaneously, and the effective steel capacity of the EAF will be cut from 1.1 million tonnes/year to 825,000 t/y.
