Changjiang Steel chooses Danieli to supply EAF
Anhui Changjiang Iron & Steel has selected Italian technology supplier Danieli to supply its new electric arc furnace, Kallanish notes.
It will install Danieli's 140-tonne ultra-high-power furnace at its Ma'anshan plant in Anhui province. With a steel capacity of 1.1 million tonnes/year, the project includes one 140-t EAF, one 140-t ladle furnace and one seven-strand billet caster.
