Changfeng Steel hot tests dual bar mill
Chengdu Changfeng Iron & Steel in western China has successfully hot tested a dual bar production mill, with a capacity of 1.5 million tonnes/year of high-speed bar, Kallanish notes.
The products will have a diameter of 12-40mm.
In addition, the company is carrying out its electric arc furnace upgrade project. This will install a 100-tonne quantum EAF supplied by Primetals Technologies (see Kallanish passim).
