Champion Iron hits shipment milestone
Canadian iron ore producer Champion Iron is celebrating the shipment of its tenth million tonne from its Bloom Lake mine in Fermont, Quebec.
The Bloom Lake mine was commissioned on 16 February, 2018, and ramped up to its full capacity of 7.4m t/year within a year, Champion says. Iron from the mine is shipped via the Port of Sept-Îles to customers in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, Kallanish notes.
