Chadormalu commissions Ardakan DRI plant

Iranian iron ore miner Chadormalu Mining & Industrial Co. has started commercial production at its Ardakan-based 1.5 million tonnes/year direct reduced iron plant, Kallanish learns from the commissioning project manager. The Midrex-supplied unit will produce cold DRI in the first phase, with hot DRI expected to come later.
