Central Shanxi, Changzhi complete coke capacity reduction
Central Shanxi and Changzhi City in southeast Shanxi province have completed their coke capacity exit plan for 2020, Kallanish notes.
Coke ovens below 4.3 metres amounting to 2.2 million tonnes/year of capacity have now been dismantled. Meanwhile, facilities with 1.48m t/y of capacity are still running because of their role in providing heat to residents in Pingyao and Taigu. These will be closed after the winter.
