Carpenter, Samuel partner on 3D printing
Specialty metals companies Carpenter Technology Corporation and Samuel, Son & Co. are partnering to develop new 3D printing solutions, Kallanish reports.
So-called additive manufacturing is a process whereby materials are layered to produce 3D objects. Samuel recently acquired additive manufacturing specialist BurLoak Technologies, which will provide much of the technical expertise for the partnership.
