Carpenter remains in the red despite demand increase
An unplanned press outage announced in December at its Reading, Pennsylvania, facility negatively impacted Carpenter Technology’s fiscal 2022 second quarter performance, but repairs are on track for a restart of the press in the current quarter.
The US specialty and alloy steelmaker says end user demand is continuing to improve, reflected by higher quarterly shipments to the medical, transportation, industrial, and consumer and distribution markets.
