Global capacities outgrow demand for SBQ steels
The global demand for special bar quality steels (SBQ) is slowly flattening. New plant projects that could lift capacity by some 15% are in the planning,“… although we cannot say if they really come about,” says Joachim Schröder of Swiss-based consultancy RCG.
