Canada's Champion Iron posts fiscal third-quarter profit
Canadian iron ore producer Champion Iron has begun to wring a profit from its relatively new Bloom Lake mine in Quebec, Kallanish reports.
For the fiscal third quarter ended 31 December, the company earned CAD 31.2 million ($23.5m) on revenues of CAD 147.5m. Champion reported a loss of CAD 37.3 in fiscal Q3 2017 – however, production only began at Bloom Lake in February 2018.
