Canada slaps tariffs on imports from Russia, Belarus
Canada is imposing tariffs on products imported from Russia and Belarus as punishment for Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Russian goods entering Canada will now be subject to a 35% tariff, according to media reports seen by Kallanish.
Additionally, Canada is removing both countries as most favoured nation trading partners, so the countries will no longer receive favourable trade terms.
