Canada provides tariff exemptions for some steel imports
Responding to recent requests from Canadian companies that rely on US steel products, Canada has agreed to exclude some additional imported products, such as rebar, subject to new tariffs and quotas, Kallanish has learned.
Canada also says that exemptions will be made for orders for steel imports in transit prior to 25 October, Reuters reports. Specific companies were not identified.
