Canada construction costs rise in second quarter
Canada's construction costs for non-residential buildings rose by 1.1% quarter-on-quarter during the second quarter, Kallanish discovers from a Statistics Canada report.
"Skilled labour shortages and the resulting increases in labour rates, interest rate pressure and building code updates were all reported as key factors impacting the construction sector in the second quarter," states the Statistics Canada press release.
