Canada begins Chinese sucker rod investigation

The Canada Border Services Agency has launched an investigation into steel sucker rods from China, Kallanish learns. Petitioner Dover Canada ULC alleges both dumping and subsidising of Chinese sucker rods into the country. A full statement of reasons is expected with 15 days. Sucker rods are steel components with threading at both ends to join downhole and surface drilling components. They are a companion product to oil country tubular goods.
