The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has assigned preliminary anti-dumping and countervailing duties on welded large diameter carbon and alloy line pipe from China and Japan, Kallanish reports.

Chinese exporters are facing a total duty load of 127%, or 96.7% from the anti-dumping investigation and 30.3% from the subsidy investigation.

Japanese exporters were assigned no preliminary countervailing duties, but antidumping duties ranged from 20.1% to 96.7%.

A statement of reasons will be released in the next 15 days, CBSA says.
