California port congestion is likely to worsen
Congestion at major ports in California continues and the problem could get worse as peak shipping season approaches, Kallanish reports.
Speaking at the National Association of Steel Pipe Distributors’ convention last week in Austin, Texas, Ralph Castille, director of supply chain development for UACL Logistics, said 78 ships are still offshore at the Port of Long Beach and 100,000 containers are on the ground waiting to be shipped across North America.
