Russia agreement seen stabilising Indian coking coal supply
The Indian Cabinet has approved a memorandum of understanding for India to source coking coal from Russia.
“The MoU will provide an institutional mechanism for co-operation in the coking coal sector between India and Russia and shall benefit the entire steel sector by reducing their input cost,” an Indian government statement says. “This may lead to a reduction in the cost of steel in the country and promote equity and inclusiveness.”
