Big River expansion boosts US Steel financials: Burritt
US Steel posted first-quarter earnings of $199 million on sales of $4.47 billion, reports Kallanish.
During the company’s earning call, chief executive David Burritt said: “We know what it takes to be the best steel competitor, focus, focus, focus. We are committed to getting to the future faster.”
The call largely focused on the investment being made at the Big River Steel facility.
