Bullish US scrap market outlook strengthens further
Following China’s strong return from holiday last week, which has boosted sentiment, and harsh US weather conditions, US scrap market participants foresee a definite increase in prices. This follows the decline in prices seen in February.
A US scrap supplier tells Kallanish: “Our inflow has been strongly impacted from the heavy snow. Scrap should gain at least $20/gross ton, depending on the grade.”
