Bulgarian output, exports grow sequentially in first quarter
Crude steel and rolled steel production in Bulgaria each rose in the first quarter compared to the previous three months. Domestic steel demand and exports also grew during the period, the Bulgarian Association of Metallurgical Industries (BAMI) says in its latest quarterly report monitored by Kallanish.
Crude steel output reached 144,500 tonnes in Q1, up 19.6% over the fourth quarter of 2020 but 8.4% down compared to the same period of last year.
