BSRM eyes 2023 rebar mill commissioning
BSRM Steels Limited, the flagship company of Bangladesh’s BSRM Group, plans to sell 800,000 tonnes of rebar in the fiscal year through June 2021 (FY21). The target for rolling and melting output is 750,000t and 702,000t respectively, Kallanish notes.
The firm plans to invest BDT 700 crores ($82.7 million) in a new 500,000 t/year capacity rebar mill to cater for market demand, it says. The new plant will be commissioned in 2023.
