BSRM commissions Mirsharai billet plant
BSRM has commissioned a 55-tonne ladle furnace and 3-strand billet caster at its new meltshop in Mirsharai, Bangladesh, Kallanish learns from the supplier of the technology, Danieli.
The ladle furnace is equipped with Bus Bar Electrode Arms and an “Inert Roof.” These minimize the electrode-side oxidation, the slag/steel oxidation, as well as oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen pick-up in the refined and clean liquid steel, according to Danieli.
