British Steel supplies first ultra-long corrosion protected rail
UK long products specialist British Steel tells Kallanish that it has produced and delivered its first batch of ultra-long corrosion protected rail. The product was launched in June 2016.
The so-called Zinoco rails have been supplied to Network Rail in Scotland, the steelmaker says. The first installation of five 216-metre lengths of the rail has just been completed in Inverkeithing Tunnel near Edinburgh in Scotland.
