British Steel steps up trainee and apprentice recruitment
British Steel tells Kallanish that it is recruiting a further 124 manufacturing trainees for its flagship Scunthorpe, UK plant.
The longs’ steelmaker says that 60 of the appointments have already been made. Half of these started work this month with the other 30 joining in January. A further 64 trainees will then be recruited to work in roles including crane driving, fork lift truck driving and machine operations.
