British Steel bags Underground rail supply contract extension
UK longs producer British Steel tells Kallanish that it has been awarded an extension to its rail supply contract for the London Underground. The extension has been awarded by operator Transport for London (TfL).
Since being awarded a Framework Agreement in 2012, the company has supplied over 42,000 tonnes of rail for use on the track infrastructure which is over 85% of TfL’s annual rail requirements.
