British Steel bags Finnish rail contract
UK sections specialist British Steel tells Kallanish that it has booked a major contract from a European rail company.
The deal for 5,500 tonnes of rail has been negotiated by the steelmaker in what it calls “… a very competitive market place.” The customer is the Finnish Transport Agency which is repeating the order with British Steel for the sixth consecutive year, the steelmaker confirms. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
