British Steel asks suppliers for discount on Covid-19
British Steel has asked its suppliers for a -15% reduction in prices in order to ensure the future of the company and its supply chain amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Despite the global spread of the virus, British Steel says it aims to maintain production at as close to pre-pandemic levels as possible so that it can contribute to the economic recovery that will be required. Its two blast furnaces at Scunthorpe continue to operate.
