British Steel announces new billet caster, other investments
British Steel announced this week the beginning of work on a series of investments worth some £80 million ($96.56m) to improve performance and enhance its product range, Kallanish reports.
A new billet caster will be installed at the group’s Scunthorpe site. The new equipment, set to be commissioned at the end of this year, is being installed by Danieli and “will enable the company to both increase capacity and grow into new markets."
