Brazil’s steel production hits 34-month high in August
The Brazilian steel industry continued its good momentum in August, with production up both month-on-month and year-on-year, Kallanish notes.
Local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB) says August crude steel and pig iron output were each at their highest since October 2018, confirming the strong recovery of the market and domestic consumption.
