Brazil`s steel production grows on-year in January
Brazilian steel production and apparent steel consumption both continued to grow year-on-year in January, Kallanish learns from data issued by the local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB).
During the first month of 2018, crude steel output totalled 2.86 million tonnes. This represented an increase of 1.3% compared to the same period of 2016 and was almost equal to the volume produced in December 2017 (+44,000t).
