Brazil's steel imports continue climbing in February
Brazilian steel imports continued growing both on-month and year-on-year in February, accroding to data from local steelmakers’ association Instituto Aço Brasil (IAB) and monitored by Kallanish. Exports also rose during the month.
Steel imports increased by 2.9% compared to January to 333,870 tonnes. This volume was also 123.5% higher on-year.
