Brazil avoids Turkish steel safeguard masures
Brazil-origin steel imports into Turkey will not be subject to safeguard duties. This was confirmed after a Turkish government probe showed that steel imports from Brazil did not increase significantly between 2016 and 2017, the Brazilian economy and foreign affairs ministries say in a joint statement seen by Kallanish.
According to the statement, Brazil exported to Turkey some 400,000 tonnes/year of steel in the period.
