Brazil's semi-finished steel exports drop in May
Brazil’s exports of semi-finished products decreased on-year in May, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) figures monitored by Kallanish.
The country exported 596,000 tonnes of semi-finished products, or -27.7% less year-on-year. This volume was also -3.8% down versus the total of 620,000t in April.
During the first five months of 2020 semis shipments were -3.4% lower on-year at 3,538,844t.
