Brazil’s scrap exports rise in November
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports slightly recover in November after falling sharply in the previous month. Shipments rose both on-year and on-month, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data monitored by Kallanish. Imports of the feedstock, meanwhile, continued rising in November.
Scrap exports reached 54,700 tonnes in the month, up by just 0.9% compared to October. Shipments were also 81.4% higher y-o-y.
