Brazil’s scrap exports remain weak in January
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports fall month-on-month in January, but they were up on-year, Kallanish notes.
According to the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic), scrap exports reached 38,203 tonnes in the month, down by 29.5% compared to December 2021 but 19,200t or 101.1% higher y-o-y.
