Brazil’s scrap exports increase in August
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports rise month-on-month in August but they fell compared to the same period in 2020, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data monitored by Kallanish. Imports of the feedstock fell in the month.
Scrap exports reached 47,000 tonnes in August, up 4.2% compared to July’s 45,100t. Shipments, however, were 14.1% down year-on-year.
