Brazil’s scrap exports drop back in October
Brazil saw ferrous scrap exports back to normal in October after they rose sharply in the previous month. Shipments fell year-on-year and on-month, according to Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data monitored by Kallanish. Imports of the feedstock, meanwhile, continued rising in October.
Scrap exports reached 54,200 tonnes in October, down by 26.2% compared to September`s 73,500t. Shipments were also 14.3% less y-o-y.
