Brazilian authority bans 54 dams on stability issues
The Brazilian mining agency (ANM) has banned 54 dams that have not submitted or certified a Stability Statement (DCE) in the second half of 2019, Kallanish learns from the authority.
The document is mandatory for the 423 structures included in the National dam safety policy and should have been delivered by 30 September, says ANM. The ban was put into effect on 10 October.
