Brazil's March pig iron exports decrease
Brazil’s pig iron exports fell in March. Shipments abroad were also lower in the first quarter, according to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data monitored by Kallanish. The data includes sponge iron and iron or steel powder together with pig iron exports.
Brazil shipped 230,000 tonnes of pig iron during the third month of the year. This volume was 18.7% less on-month and 40% lower on-year.
