Brazil’s monthly semis exports rise, imports decrease
Brazilian exports of semi-finished products rose in June after two consecutive months of declines. Shipments abroad were weaker year-on-year, however. Imports have started to decrease, Kallanish notes.
According to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data, the country’s semis exports totalled 517,000 tonnes in June, a growth of 25,000t from May but 46.2% lower compared with the same month last year.
