Brazil’s June iron ore exports hit nine-month high
Brazil saw iron ore exports rise in June, according to the latest Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade (Mdic) data monitored by Kallanish.
Exports of iron ore reached 33.7 million tonnes, up 27.2% over May and 12.2% more on-year. June’s volume was the highest shipped since September 2020, when the country exported 37.5mt.
In January-June Brazilian exports were 167.01mt, up 15.2% over January-June 2020.
